My Experience

I have gained valuable childcare experience through a variety of roles and volunteering opportunities. I have regularly babysat my 3- and 5-year-old cousins, caring for them independently and helping with activities, meals, bedtime routines, and ensuring they are safe, happy, and entertained. This has helped me develop patience, creativity, and confidence when looking after young children.

I also volunteered in a nursery for three months, where I supported staff in caring for children, assisting with activities, encouraging learning through play, and helping to create a positive and nurturing environment. Last summer, I volunteered with young children in Africa, which gave me experience working with children from different backgrounds and strengthened my ability to engage with and support children in a variety of settings.

In addition to my childcare experience, I have worked in hospitality for a year and a half. This role has taught me responsibility, reliability, strong communication skills, and how to remain calm and professional in busy situations. I believe these skills, combined with my genuine enjoyment of working with children, make me a trustworthy and capable babysitter.
