My Summary
About Me
Hi! I’m a friendly, patient, and enthusiastic tutor who loves helping children build confidence and develop a genuine enjoyment of learning.
I specialise in English and achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE English before going on to study English at A-level. I understand that every child learns differently, so I aim to make my lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style.
Whether your child needs support with their English skills, SATs preparation, or 11+ exams, I’m here to provide a supportive and positive learning environment where they can feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence.
I have also completed an enhanced DBS check, so you can feel confident that your child is in safe hands.
My Experience
I have over two years of experience working at a tuition centre, where I supported primary school students with their SATs and 11+ preparation. During this time, I developed a strong understanding of how to support children with different abilities, learning styles, and levels of confidence. I have also created and prepared lesson plans and learning activities, ensuring that each session is engaging, well-structured, and tailored to the individual needs of the child.
Alongside my tutoring experience, I have completed healthcare work experience, which has strengthened my communication, empathy, teamwork, and ability to work responsibly with others. I am currently studying Child Nursing at university, which has further developed my understanding of children’s development, wellbeing, and individual needs. My degree has also strengthened my passion for working with children and supporting them in reaching their potential.
During sixth form, I was a prefect, giving me the opportunity to work closely with younger students by providing guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the school day. Through these experiences, I have developed a patient, approachable, and responsible nature, as well as the ability to build positive relationships with children.
As a tutor, I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their confidence. I believe lessons should be both productive and enjoyable, and I always strive to make learning engaging while helping each child make progress towards their individual goals.
My Qualifications
I have successfully completed all of my GCSEs, achieving a Grade 9 in English, which is the subject I specialise in. I have also completed my A-levels and am currently studying Child Nursing at university. My studies have further developed my understanding of children, their individual needs, and how to support them in a patient, caring, and encouraging environment.
