About Me
Hi, I’m Maisie, a childminder and owner of Little Palms Childminding – Play, Create, Explore!
I’m based in BH12, conveniently situated between Bournemouth and Poole, making Little Palms easily accessible for families living or commuting in the surrounding areas.
I currently have availability from October 2026, with free settling-in sessions available from mid-September.
At Little Palms, I provide a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel happy, secure and valued. As a small setting, I’m able to give each child plenty of individual attention while creating a calm, close-knit atmosphere where friendships can naturally develop.
As a mum to my own two-year-old daughter, I understand how important it is to find childcare you can genuinely trust. I take the time to get to know each child, their interests and personality, and care for every child as I would want my own to be cared for.
I believe childhood should be filled with fun, curiosity, creativity and adventure. We make the most of the outdoors and our local community, with regular trips to the library, farm, beach, country parks and local toddler groups. Back at Little Palms, children can enjoy sensory play, stories, singing, cooking, gardening, arts and crafts and imaginative play.
Learning is guided by the EYFS and shaped around each child’s individual interests and stage of development. Through play and everyday experiences, children are encouraged to build confidence, develop independence and learn new skills at their own pace — from rolling and crawling to washing their hands, pouring their own drinks, serving snacks and having a go at something new.
My setting has been thoughtfully designed with little ones in mind, with a bright playroom, cosy living space, separate sleep area and dedicated arts and crafts space. Resources are easily accessible, encouraging children to make choices and develop their independence. Our garden is currently being transformed into a safe, engaging sensory outdoor space, ready to reopen in September 2026.
I’m also registered with the Tiney childminding agency, giving families the reassurance of a wider professional support network. This includes access to the Tiney app for updates and learning journals, a 24/7 online GP service and specialist SEND support.
Above all, I want Little Palms to feel like a second home — a place where children feel happy, confident and celebrated for who they are. My aim is to provide a joyful, enriching childhood experience, with plenty of opportunities to play, create, explore and make wonderful memories.

My Experience
As a mother myself, I understand the importance of providing children with a safe, nurturing environment where they feel valued and supported as individuals.
I have worked with children across the Early Years age range, from newborns to four years old. My previous roles include working as a Kumon Maths and English tutoring assistant, assisting with children’s art workshops and providing babysitting support for families. These roles have given me valuable insight into children’s learning, creativity and individual needs.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertake training in areas including safeguarding, supporting and understanding behaviour, and art therapy. I continually develop my knowledge to provide thoughtful, responsive care that nurtures children’s confidence and wellbeing.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
I offer two private childcare rates, allowing families to choose the option that best suits their needs:
£7.50 per hour – Childcare Only
This option is ideal for families who prefer to provide their child’s own meals, snacks and personal supplies. All outings and activities are included in this rate.
£8.50 per hour – All-Inclusive
For added convenience, my all-inclusive rate covers:
Meals and snacks, Milk, Nappies and wipes, Sun cream, All outings and activities.
Funded Childcare - I also offer funded childcare options for eligible children aged 9 months to 4 years.
