My Experience

I have several years of experience working with children of different ages and abilities across a variety of settings. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, I support children in mainstream primary schools as well as specialist SEND schools, working with children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and other additional learning needs. I have worked at specialist schools including Beacon Hill School and Thomas Bewick School. Alongside this, I am a qualified swimming teacher, teaching children from toddlers through to older children, helping them build confidence and water safety skills. I also coach children’s football, working with children aged 18 months to 10 years, delivering fun, active sessions while encouraging teamwork and confidence. These experiences have given me excellent behaviour management, safeguarding, communication and relationship-building skills. I am happy to help with play, homework, meals, bedtime routines and creating engaging activities tailored to each child’s interests and needs.

My Qualifications

I hold an Enhanced DBS check, First Aid training and I am a qualified swimming teacher. I have A Levels in Law, Policing and Criminology and I am currently studying Forensic Science and Criminology at Northumbria University. I am also currently completing a Level 3 qualification in Understanding Autism, with my final assignment due this month (july). Alongside my qualifications, I work as a Supply Teaching Assistant in both mainstream and specialist SEND schools, including Beacon Hill and Thomas Bewick, giving me valuable experience supporting children with a wide range of additional needs. I also work as a children’s football coach, helping children develop confidence, teamwork and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.

My Availability

I offer daytime, evening and weekend babysitting, as well as childcare during school holidays. My availability may vary around my university timetable and supply teaching work, but I keep my calendar updated and will always do my best to accommodate your family’s needs. I am happy to provide both regular and occasional childcare.

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
