Hello, my name is Rebecca. I am an experienced Canadian nanny relocating to the UK in 2027 to pursue part-time graduate studies to become a child and adolescent psychotherapist. I do not require sponsorship/accommodation. I am very excited for this new adventure, and the opportunity to become a part of a lovely new family! I would be a great fit for a family who enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle (some of my favorite activities being skating, weightlifting, and tennis). I love to be involved with and learn about all the sports and activities the children might be interested in. Being fun and silly when working with children aged 1-8 years is one of my favourite parts of the job, creativity and imagination are so important. I take a keen interest in the educational progress of the children I care for, and collaborating with the parents and children to create well-rounded schedules that balance the educational, active, and creative developmental needs.
My Experience
I have 10 years of experience in both sole charge and blended sole charge + parent collaboration, proxy parenting, and can integrate flexibly as needed. I have experience from ages ranging 6 months - 16 years, as well with larger families with 3-4 children. I primarily focus on long-term roles where the caregiver and family can grow together, adapting my care to each child's developmental phase and the changing needs of a family. I can provide strong written references as well as contact information from two long-term roles spanning 8 years and 6 years. I bring a positive, autonomy supportive approach to caregiving. I am experienced at maintaining a warm, composed and understanding demeanor with the children while adhering to a busy and demanding schedule. One of my greatest strengths is observing and adapting to individual needs, and tailoring my caregiving approach to reflect each families unique parental style and preferences.
My Qualifications
BSc Honours Psychology (Jan 2027)
First Aid certified, St. John's Ambulance Level C (willing to take UK Pediatric course if required)
Eligible to work in UK, no sponsorship required
Current RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check (DBS Canadian Equivalent)
Happy to Ofsted register for the right role
Extensive experience driving within nanny roles in Canada, happy to drive for UK roles after some familiarisation
My Availability
Negotiable, evenings & weekends off preferred. Open to occasional evening/weekends/overnights and can offer reasonable flexibility as required.
My Fees
- Nannying from £23.00 per hour (gross)
Hourly rate from £23 gross dependent on role, number of children, responsibilities, location and guaranteed hours.
