About Me

Hello! We’re Tom and Lucy, and we’re expecting our first baby, a little boy, in October this year.

We’re looking for a caring, nurturing childminder for when my partner returns to work after maternity leave, from around August/September 2027, when our son will be approximately 9 months old. We’d love to gradually introduce him during mid-August to help him settle into a new routine before childcare begins more regularly.

We’re both working professionals. My partner, Lucy, is a secondary school teacher and I am an engineer, so we generally work Monday to Friday with regular hours. We’re likely to need childcare for 4 or 5 days a week, depending on whether Lucy’s request to return part-time is approved. We would also appreciate a little flexibility where possible, with plenty of notice, for the occasional change to our working arrangements.

As first-time parents, finding the right person to care for our son is incredibly important to us. We’re looking for someone warm, reliable and experienced who can provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where he can learn, play and thrive. We value open communication and hope to build a positive, long-term relationship with the person who becomes such an important part of our son’s early years
