Kathleen

About Me

My name is Kathleen, and family has always been at the heart of who I am. I come from a large family and am one of eight siblings, which has given me a strong appreciation for the importance of care, connection, and supporting others. I am also a proud auntie to 24 nieces and nephews, along with several great-nieces and nephews, so I have been surrounded by children and family life for as long as I can remember.

I am a proud mother to two wonderful children, a son and a daughter, aged 20 and 21, who have taught me so much about patience, responsibility, and unconditional love.

Working with children has been my passion for many years. I have worked in childcare for 18 years, gaining experience across two preschool settings where I have supported children’s early learning, development, and wellbeing. Alongside this, I have worked as a childminder and babysitter, giving me valuable experience caring for children of different ages and individual needs in both professional and home environments.

I have always enjoyed being involved in my community and have volunteered with a Beaver group as well as church clubs, where I helped organise activities and support children in building confidence, friendships, and important life skills.

I am a caring, reliable, and dedicated person who genuinely enjoys helping children learn, grow, and thrive in safe and nurturing environments. I believe in creating positive relationships with children and families and bringing warmth, patience, and understanding into everything I do.

Outside of work, I am excited to be entering a new chapter in my life as I prepare to get married soon, something I am very much looking forward to as I continue balancing family life, personal growth, and the career I love.
