My Requirements

We are a Wandsworth family with children at Belleville Primary School, and my wife and I are looking for some additional educational support for our son, Hugo, who has just completed Year 1.

Hugo is a wonderful, happy and engaging six-year-old who is currently assessed as “working towards” some of his learning goals. We have received differing views on whether he may have some traits associated with dyslexia, although we are keeping an open mind. As a July-born child, he is among the youngest in his year group, and we are conscious that many of his classmates were already six at the start of Year 1, so the age and developmental gap can feel quite significant.

At this stage, we are looking for a tutor who can help build his confidence and strengthen his foundations in reading, writing and literacy, while also providing an informed view on whether any additional learning support or assessment may be beneficial. Above all, we want the experience to be positive, encouraging and tailored to his individual needs.
