About Us

Humpty Dumpty Pre School

We are a nursery that has been established for well over 30 years in the Hackbridge, Surrey area. We offer the 15/30 hours funding, we are term time only, we provide care for 2 to 4 year old children. We provide a warm, welcoming environment where children can learn through play, and each child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our vision is for the children to have fun while learning, to be happy and confident, and feel safe in the nursery environment. There are 8 members of staff, who are all mums themselves, so we give the home from home touch.

Children make good progress at this welcoming pre-school, which has improved significantly since its previous 'Requires improvement' rating to achieve 'Good' across all areas. Staff are caring and committed, creating stimulating learning experiences that enable children to develop well from their starting points. Special educational needs support is particularly strong, with close collaboration between staff, parents and other agencies. Parents are very happy with the friendly staff and their children's progress. However, inspectors identified that some large-group activities, particularly story time, do not always fully engage all children, and the organisation of these sessions needs review to maximise learning opportunities.
