Registered Childminder with Special Needs Experience Job in Nottingham
About Me
I'm based in the Arnold and Sherwood area. I'm a proud mum to my wonderful 6-year-old son, Jeremiah, and I'm currently studying Counselling and Psychotherapy at university. I attend university one weekend a month as I work towards becoming a counsellor, so I'm looking for someone caring, reliable, and experienced to support our family during those weekends.
Jeremiah has Down syndrome and is a happy, affectionate little boy with a lovely personality. He enjoys playing with water, park, and reading books. He thrives with routine, patience, and encouragement. Jeremiah is PEG-fed, so experience with PEG feeding is essential. He is also toilet trained but sometimes needs reminders and a little support to use the toilet.
I'm hoping to find someone kind, dependable, and experienced with children with additional needs who will take the time to get to know Jeremiah and help him feel safe, happy, and supported. If you think you'd be a good fit, I'd love to hear from you.
My Requirements
I attend university one weekend a month (usually Friday to Sunday, occasionally Thursday to Sunday) and need someone who can pick Jeremiah up from school on Fridays, care for him during the day while I'm at university (9:30 am–5:30 pm), and drop him off in the morning and collect him between 6:00–6:30 pm.
Essential: Experience with PEG feeding and confidence managing a PEG tube.
Jeremiah is toilet trained but needs encouragement and occasional support. He's a happy, loving little boy who responds well to patient, kind, and dependable care. I'm looking for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs.
