About Me
Hi, I’m Lucy! I’m a friendly, caring and reliable person who is passionate about working with children. I currently work in a nursery and have been working in childcare for nearly a year and a half, giving me experience caring for children of different ages and supporting their individual needs, development and interests. I really enjoy getting involved in children’s play, whether that’s being creative, reading stories, playing games or getting outdoors. I’m patient and reassuring and understand how important it is for children to feel safe, comfortable and listened to. I’d love the opportunity to support families with babysitting and provide children with a fun and positive experience while they’re in my care.
My Experience
I have a year and a half experience working in a nursery, caring for children from babies through to preschool age. I have experience supporting children with their everyday routines, including meals, nappy changes, sleep, toileting and personal care, as well as planning and providing age-appropriate activities to support their learning and development.
I work closely with parents and families to understand each child's individual needs, interests and routines. I have also supported
children with settling into nursery, transitions between rooms and changes in their routines. I enjoy building positive relationships with children and creating a safe, caring and fun environment where they feel comfortable and confident.
My Qualifications
I recently completed my level 3 early years apprenticeship which I passed with a distinction and I am now a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner. I am DBS checked and first aid trained. I also have a degree in Media and Performance, which has developed my creativity, communication skills and confidence.
