My name is D'arcy, I am a 30 year old woman. I am from Glasgow, Scotland however moved to Staines, Surrey last August 2025. I live at home with my fiance and our dog!
I’m a caring, patient and positive person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I love creating a fun, safe environment where kids feel comfortable, supported and encouraged to be themselves. I’m reliable, organised, and always bring a calm energy to the home. I’m responsible, organised and committed to providing high?quality childcare. I communicate clearly with parents, follow routines well, and adapt easily to each child’s needs. I take pride in being dependable, calm under pressure, and someone families can trust. I’m creative, energetic and love keeping children active and engaged. Whether it’s crafts, outdoor play or learning activities, I enjoy making each day exciting and meaningful. I’m warm, approachable and build strong bonds with the children I care for.
My Experience
I have a genuine passion of working with children and have more than 10 years experience. I am one of 8 children and helped raise my siblings, and began babysitting for family members and family friends from the age of 14. I absolutely loved babysitting which led me to becoming an apprentice in a nursery setting, gaining a SQV Level 7 in Social services, children and young people. After many years in a nursery, I then advanced into a children's residential care home, learning new skills and working with children with more complex needs, trauma, and emotional dysregulation. I thoroughly enjoyed this job and obtained a long list of training including trauma informed practice however all can be found on my CV. I then began nannying for a family of two young children in March 2025 however due to unforeseen circumstances that is coming to an end and I am looking for another wonderful, kind and loving family to join long term. What I enjoy most about working with children is watching them grow, develop, and gain confidence. I love being part of their learning journey, whether that's helping them reach new milestones, encouraging their curiosity, or seeing them achieve something they've been working towards. Building trusting relationships with children and their families is incredibly rewarding, and I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and able to be themselves. Every day is different, which keeps the role exciting and fulfilling.
My Qualifications
SVQ Level 7 in Social Services, Children and Young People
Higher Maths, English and Art & Design
Intermediate 2 Maths, English, Business and Art & Design

- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £18.00 per hour
I am looking for a new family to bond with as a full time nanny and would be happy to discuss this privately and open to discussions.
