My Requirements

I am seeking a caring, reliable and experienced individual to support me with my autistic son, aged 10.

Initially, I am looking for 7 days of respite support to commence as soon as possible. Subject to a successful placement, I would like to develop this into an ongoing arrangement with regular weekly support.

Future support would include:

After-school care and support

Assistance during school holidays

Occasional overnight care

Community-based activities and social engagement where appropriate

I am looking for someone who is flexible, dependable and able to accommodate both planned arrangements and, where possible, occasional unplanned support needs.

Experience supporting autistic children and young people is essential. An understanding of autism, sensory needs, communication differences, emotional regulation, and the importance of routine and consistency would be highly valued.

Candidates should ideally hold:
An Enhanced DBS certificate
Paediatric First Aid training
Relevant childcare, care or support qualifications and experience

A full driving licence (desirable)

This is a privately funded position, and rates of pay are negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
