I am a friendly, responsible, and enthusiastic post-A-Level student looking for babysitting opportunities before starting university. I have always enjoyed working with children and helping them build confidence through sport, having gained experience coaching young people in both rowing and swimming.
I am patient, approachable, and able to adapt to different ages and personalities. I enjoy creating a positive and engaging environment for children, whether that is through games, activities, helping with homework, or encouraging them to try new things. Outside of childcare, I have a strong interest in sport, writing, and learning languages. I am organised, hardworking, and comfortable taking responsibility, with experience balancing academic commitments alongside coaching and freelance work.
My Experience
Sports Coaching – Rowing & Swimming
I have experience supporting children and young people through sports coaching roles, helping them develop skills, confidence, and enjoyment in a safe and encouraging environment.
As a voluntary rowing coach at Gloucester Rowing Club, I supported beginner rowers by teaching technique, boat handling skills, and teamwork. This involved adapting my communication style to suit different abilities, encouraging young athletes, and helping create a positive learning environment.
I have also assisted with swimming coaching at Henleaze Swimming Club, where I helped young swimmers improve technique, endurance, and water confidence. This role developed my patience, leadership skills, and understanding of how to support children with different levels of ability.
Alongside coaching, my experience in journalism and freelance writing has strengthened my organisation, communication, and time management skills, allowing me to be dependable and responsible when supporting others.
