My Requirements

We are a family based in B42 Birmingham expecting our third baby in October 2026 and are looking for an experienced, reliable babysitter/nanny to provide emergency childcare for our two children (aged 7 and 4) when my wife goes into labour.

The care would be in our family home and may involve:

* short-notice availability during the expected due date period (late September/October 2026)
* daytime, evening or overnight care depending on when labour starts
* staying with the children until we return home from hospital

We are looking for someone who:

* has significant experience caring for children
* is DBS checked (or willing to complete one)
* is comfortable looking after siblings aged 7 and 4
* can provide references
* lives locally and can reach B42 relatively quickly
* is calm, dependable and comfortable with a flexible situation

We would like to meet beforehand and arrange some paid sessions with the children before October so everyone is familiar and comfortable.

This would suit an experienced babysitter, nanny, childminder, teaching assistant or someone with strong childcare experience who would like occasional paid work.
