I’m a caring, patient and reliable mum and proud grandma, with a genuine passion for caring for children. Being a mum and grandma myself has given me many years of hands-on experience, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel that their children are safe, happy and well cared for.
I have also worked with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) for many years, including children with complex needs. This experience has taught me to be patient, understanding and adaptable, while recognising that every child is unique and may need a different approach.
I’m confident supporting children with a wide range of needs and always aim to create a calm, positive and nurturing environment where they can feel comfortable and secure. I take pride in building trusting relationships with children and families and providing care that is both professional and personal.

My Experience
My experience working with children and particularly SEND for a local council gave me the opportunity to work directly with children and young people with a range of additional needs. I have learnt the importance of treating every individual as a person first, taking the time to understand their needs, preferences and circumstances rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
The role required patience, empathy, good communication and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations. Working for the council also helped me develop an understanding of public service and the importance of providing a reliable, inclusive and professional service. I worked alongside colleagues and other professionals to support positive outcomes while maintaining appropriate boundaries, confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities. Another key part of my experience working with children has been building positive and respectful relationships with families and carers. I understood that families often have the best knowledge of their child’s individual needs, communication preferences and routines, so I made sure to listen to their views and work collaboratively with them. I communicated clearly and sensitively, provided reassurance where needed, and ensured that any concerns were handled professionally and appropriately. This helped me develop strong relationship-building skills and reinforced the importance of involving families in decisions about the support provided to their child.

Foundation Degree with Early Years. Children’s Special Needs and Inclusive Education BA
My Availability
I still work full-time so I am currently only available for some evenings. I am available during school holidays.

- Babysitting from £18.00 per hour
My babysitting fees are competitive and reflect the quality, care and experience I bring to each family.
