About Me
Hello! I'm Josh, a father of two wonderful children aged 10 and 12. We live in a beautiful coastal town just outside Edinburgh and enjoy spending time outdoors, visiting the beach, exploring Scotland and relaxing together as a family.
Due to my work, I occasionally travel overnight, so we're looking for someone kind, dependable and experienced to support us on a regular basis. We're an easy-going, respectful family and believe in open communication, trust and treating people with kindness.
More than anything, we're looking for someone who can become a familiar and reassuring presence for our children when I'm away. We want them to feel safe, supported and comfortable, knowing they're in good hands.

My Requirements
We require overnight childcare for two nights every two weeks on an ongoing basis.
Our children are older (10 and 12), independent and have well-established routines. The role is less about constant childcare and more about providing a calm, responsible adult in the home while I travel for work.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing or supervising a simple evening meal.
Helping with the evening routine.
Staying overnight in our home.
Ensuring the children are ready for school and helping with the morning routine.
School drop-off if you're able to drive (preferred but not essential).
We'd love to find someone who is experienced, trustworthy, warm and reliable, and who is looking for a long-term arrangement. While the childcare requirement is relatively light, we're hoping to build a lasting relationship with someone our children know and trust.
This approach sets realistic expectations while making the role attractive to experienced nannies who are looking for regular, meaningful work rather than full-time hours.
