My Summary

My Experience

I have babysat my mum's friends'children, ages ranging from 6 to 12 years. This included looking after 2 siblings with ASD with varying needs, and one young girl with ADHD. I pride myself on my understanding of SEND, and am confident in my ability to care for children with more complex needs. I have also done 45 hours of work placement at Vranch House School, where I worked with their Occupational Therapy team. On my placement I worked with children from the age of 4-19, completing a range of activities such as an outreach Handwriting Support Group, progress assessments on physical, social, intellectual, and emotional development, and supporting with in-class activities where I made meaningful, professional bonds with the young people.

My Qualifications

I do not currently have any specific qualifications in childcare, however I am currently enrolled in Health and Social Care Level 3 Extended Diploma, and achieved an overall grade of an A in my first year. I also did a GCSE in Child Development, which allowed me to understand the development process children go through from birth through to adulthood. I am also looking to enrol onto a First Aid training course, and ideally follow up with a Paediatric specific course.

My Availability

Currently, my availability is flexible as it is the summer holidays, however I have entered below my availability come term time. This may change once I receive my timetable as it is common for me to have short days where I could be available in either the morning or the afternoon, but we could discuss this further closer to term time. With notice I am generally available any evening or weekend, and am able to provide overnight care if needed.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I have put my rate as £12ph, as I carry a passion for caring for children and young people, however I understand I do not have any formal qualifications in this area.
