My Experience

I am a Teaching Assistant with experience caring for and working with children and young people aged 0–16 across hospital, educational and home settings, including children with SEND and additional needs.

Before becoming a Teaching Assistant, I spent two years studying Child Nursing, where I gained valuable experience caring for babies, children and young people in healthcare settings. I also have six months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant, alongside previous occasional babysitting experience.

I have experience with first aid, supporting children with feeding, homework and reading, as well as planning fun and engaging activities such as crafts and games. I enjoy finding activities suited to each child’s interests and personality, and seeing the children I work with enjoy themselves and grow in confidence.

My Qualifications

I hold a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Integrated Health and Social Care, gained through studying Child Nursing at university. During my studies, I completed placements in a range of healthcare settings and gained practical experience caring for babies, children and young people.

I also hold Level 3 BTEC qualifications in Health and Social Care, which provided me with knowledge of child development, safeguarding, communication, health and wellbeing, and person-centred care.

2 children: £13 an hour
3 children or more: £14-15 an hour
