About Me
Hello! I'm a passionate and dedicated primary school teacher with over five years of classroom teaching experience, alongside previous experience as a Teaching Assistant and Intervention Tutor. These roles have given me a strong understanding of how children learn and how to adapt my teaching to meet the needs of every individual.
Teaching is more than just a job to me—it's something I genuinely love. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals. I am committed to giving 100% to every pupil and always go the extra mile to ensure they make excellent progress.
As a tutor, I create engaging, supportive, and personalised lessons that build both knowledge and confidence. I believe every child has the potential to succeed when they receive the right guidance, encouragement, and high-quality teaching.
I have successfully prepared my own children, as well as many other pupils, for the 11+ grammar school entrance examinations, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to perform at their best. I also have extensive experience supporting children preparing for SATs, improving core skills in Mathematics, English, Reading, Writing, Grammar, Phonics, and Reasoning.
My strengths include:
Personalised lessons tailored to each child's needs.
Building confidence and a love of learning.
Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
Experience supporting children of all abilities, including those needing extra support.
Clear explanations that make learning enjoyable and easy to understand.
Regular feedback and progress updates for parents.
High expectations combined with patience, kindness, and encouragement.
My aim is not only to help children achieve excellent academic results but also to inspire them to become confident, independent learners who believe in their own abilities.
I look forward to supporting your child's learning journey and helping them reach their full potential.
My Experience
Throughout my career, I have supported children with a wide range of learning needs, including those with speech and language difficulties and English as an Additional Language (EAL). I use effective teaching strategies, visual resources, and targeted interventions to develop children's communication, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
I have extensive experience delivering phonics interventions, helping children improve their decoding, blending, fluency, and reading confidence. Through personalised support and consistent teaching, many of the children I have worked with have made good progress, closing learning gaps and becoming more confident and independent learners.
I am passionate about creating a positive, supportive learning environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
