About Me
Hi There! My name is Macy Rowles and I'm a babysitter in Wallasey. I have worked with children for 5 years as I find it to be highly rewarding watching and helping them work towards milestones and as someone who's full of energy, I find children's energy really motivating. I also love to work with animals so I'd love to care for your pets too! I'm primarily looking to do evening and weekend babysitting and I'm happy to do regular sitting and/or one-off childcare support. I would be open to daytime sitting too one-off or regularly if pre-arranged :)

My Experience
Babysitting: Friends and family (2021 – 2023)
While babysitting, I cared for young children and pets in the home, ensuring their safety, comfort and age-appropriate developmental needs while also having lots of fun with crafts, games and fun! I also closely followed parents' instructions surrounding the children’s usual daily routines to help them feel safe, happy and entertained, especially for children with SEN needs.
Visitor Experience Assistant: Twycross Zoo (2024 – 2025)
In this job, I managed a soft play with up to 100 children aged 0-12, ran children’s crafts and shows, and supervised children in animal walkthroughs while maintaining a fun, clean, and safe environment. Due to the busy environment, I helped with emergencies, including first aid and finding lost children, while always following safeguarding procedures and keeping the children as calm and distracted as possible.
Children’s Tour Guide/ Party Host: Ash End Children’s Farm (2021 – 2023)
Helped educate and engage young children and their families by independently organising, planning, and executing activities involving songs, crafts, stories and animal experiences. Educated children about a range of topics, including health and safety, animal care and welfare and more in a fun, engaging way while also prioritising health and safety, COSHH guidelines, infection prevention, and general hygiene to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for all.
My Qualifications
I am currently DBS checked and happy to provide this.
I have plenty of knowledge and experience with young children. I also achieved top grades, A* in Psychology, A in English Literature, and a Distinction* in performing arts, meaning I have great language and 'pretending' skills, and an understanding of child development and problematic behaviours. I also hold a BSc Hons in Human Animal Interaction where completed modules in psychology and animal assisted interventions and therapy.
My Availability
I am mainly looking for evening, weekend, and overnight support but I am also flexible and open to daytime sitting if discussed. I am happy to do one-off sitting or have a regular slot. Whatever works best for you! Please feel free to get in touch and of course I'd be happy to meet you first whenever suits before babysitting.
