About Me
Hello! I am a Qualified Primary School Teacher with 10 years experience. I have spent the past couple of years managing an Ofsted Outstanding nursery. I have great experience teaching the EYFS framework and I am now bringing that home to open a warm, play-centred, child-led childcare setting. My real passion is Early Years Education, and after working in busy commercial nurseries, I wanted to create a small, loving alternative. I am looking to combine my teaching background with the comfort, slow pace and individual care of a family home.
I will be focusing on play-based learning invitations through the use of my open-plan playroom space, and making use of my garden and the park across the road for lots of exploration through outdoor learning opportunities. Think baking, story-telling, bug-hunting, creating... alongside learning key skills through phonics, sounds, counting and more.
I will be open Monday - Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, all year round. I am limiting my spaces to just 2 children ages 2-4 to learn and play alongside my own children. I am also offering two additional dedicated spaces for Reception aged children during the 14 weeks of school holidays.
I am currently taking informal expressions of interest to build our small January 2027 group. Because I currently only have space for 2 children, early inquiries are welcomed.
