About Me

Hello, my name is Maisie. I am 29 and I live alone with my two sons, aged 10 and 9. One who is diagnosed with ASD and is awaiting an adhd assessment and one who has ASD and language processing disorder.

My oldest child shows some extremely difficult behaviours around my younger child (specifically my younger child not other children in general) and I am exhausted. Very much the moment anyone’s eyes open until long into the night, there’s also some circumstances surrounding school (a teacher from the school comes to home tutor him once a week for an hour) this is my only break from him in 3 years now.

I am very much at a breaking point with him and I believe it’s necessary to arrange for us to have some respite from each other, in order to maintain some stability in the house and our relationship with each-other as well as giving my younger a child a break from the torment over the half term break.

Due to my child’s needs I’m unable to find him any sort of holiday club but I believe he would struggle with a large number of children anyway and would benefit more from a quiet more home based setting.

I feel this paragraph hasn’t really done him any justice as he is a beautiful, polite, friendly, humourous, opinionated boy with a big personality, however when you do this every second of the day without any form of break it becomes some what too much.

I would prefer him to have child care out side of the home as I miss just being able to sit in and get stuff done around the house without him, as it’s been some years now since I’ve been able to get anything done.

My child is fully able to communicate, significantly independent, fully toilet trained and has been for a significant time, able to feed himself and completely mobile. My child is significantly easier to manage and handle when he is not around his younger sibling but as his younger sibling attends school full time and this is his summer holidays at current, I don’t want my child to feel like he’s passed pillar to post all the time to accommodate his brothers behaviour. I want him to remember his six weeks off with happier memories.

I am open and flexible as to days and times as I just need a break and will take what I can get?
