About Me
Hello, I'm the childminder behind Little Violets, a warm, nurturing home-from-home childcare setting where children are encouraged to play, explore, grow and be themselves.
I have over 15 years of experience working with children across early years, primary and secondary education. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of roles, including as a pre-school manager, teaching assistant and 1-to-1 support, giving me a wealth of experience supporting children with different personalities, interests and individual needs.
I started Little Violets because I wanted to create a childcare environment where children feel safe, valued, listened to and genuinely happy. As a home-based childminder, I am able to provide a more personal and individual approach, getting to know each child and building strong relationships with both children and their families.
At Little Violets, I believe that children learn best through play and real-life experiences. We enjoy getting creative, exploring the outdoors, reading stories, getting messy, discovering new things and following children's interests. I aim to provide a balance of planned experiences and plenty of opportunities for children to lead their own play and develop their independence.
I understand that choosing childcare is a big decision for families. My aim is to provide a setting where parents feel confident, comfortable and involved, knowing that their child is being cared for as an individual.
At Little Violets, every child is welcomed, celebrated and encouraged to flourish in their own unique way.
My Experience
I have over 15 years of experience working with children, with extensive experience across the Early Years and primary age range. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of roles, including as a pre-school manager, teaching assistant and 1-to-1 support, giving me a broad understanding of children's development, learning and individual needs.
I have extensive knowledge and experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I understand that every child is different and may need support in different ways, and I am passionate about creating an inclusive environment where every child feels understood, valued and able to thrive.
As a mother myself, I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and comfortable when choosing someone to care for their child. I know that leaving your child with someone else can be a big step, and I aim to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families.
My experience has taught me the importance of patience, kindness, consistency and following each child's individual interests and needs. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, secure and happy, and I love creating opportunities for children to learn through play, exploration and everyday experiences.
At Little Violets, I bring together my professional experience, SEND knowledge and experience as a parent to provide a nurturing, inclusive and home-from-home environment where children can feel confident to be themselves, develop their independence and flourish. ??

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Hourly Rate-£7.00 per hour
Full day session - £55.00
Breakfast club & afterschool club until 4:30pm - £10.00 per session (care from 4:30pm–5:30pm is available at an additional charge of £5
Funding is accepted :)
