My Experience

Hi I'm Caitlin, a 32-year-old living in Liverpool. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for children of all ages and development. I am a Registered Childrens Nurse and prior to this I worked as a maternity assistant on a postnatal ward, which is where I found passion for working with children and their families and inspired me to pursue my nursing career.
I have 1 year experience working as a private nanny, working part time for 2 different families. Nannying has always been a career path I’ve considered, as—much like nursing—it offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. I’m passionate about supporting families and helping them thrive. Providing family-centred care has been my priority throughout my previous roles. I’ve found that open communication is key to understanding each family’s priorities, which allows me to create a nurturing and supportive environment for their children.
I have a real passion for supporting children's speech and language development. In my previous role, I taught the little girl I cared for baby sign language, which gave her a way to express her wants and needs before she could speak. It was incredibly rewarding to see her confidence grow in communication. Other interests of mine include nutrition, play therapy and sleep.
I love creating fun, engaging activities in line with child's individual interests and stage of development, helping them learn through play and exploration. Whether it's visiting museums, attending playgroups, reading stories together, getting creative with arts and crafts, or spending time outdoors.

My Qualifications

I am a registered paediatric nurse, graduated in 2019. I have 4 years working clinically and recently had a career change to nannying.
