I am a 22 year old graduate who has always loved working with children. I have worked with children through being a Girl Guiding Leader in the UK, working with ages 5-14 years. I have a passion for languages, having completed French A level and a 2:1 degree in International Relations and Chinese (Mandarin). During my year abroad in Shanghai, I also tutored young children English.
My Experience
As a Girl Guiding Leader, I led weekly sessions for Rainbows, Brownies and Guides (age 5-13), planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate educational activities focused on skill development and personal growth
As an English Second Language tutor, I delivered one-to-one and small group English language instruction to Chinese students aged 7-12, focusing on conversational fluency and pronunciation. I also adapted teaching methods to accommodate varying proficiency levels (A1-A2) and learning styles, while navigating cross-cultural communication challenges
My Qualifications
I have a 2:1 degree in International Relations and Chinese, and a Level 5 168 Hour TEFL Certificate (The TEFL Academy, UK) where I created lessons for a variety of levels from pre-intermediate to advanced, including teaching speaking, listening, reading and writing
My Availability
I am available to start work ASAP, but will be unavailable from February 2027
