Registered Childminder Job in Southampton
About Me
I am a first-time mum. I left my career before I knew I was pregnant, and since having my son, I have been enjoying being a full-time mum. My husband is a doctor and works at Dorset Hospital.
I was previously looking for a childminder for my 13-month-old son, but I have now decided that a part-time nanny or babysitter would be a better option for our family.
I am looking for someone who could spend around 3 hours a day with my son, giving him a chance to have fun, learn, explore and socialise, while also giving me some time for myself and allowing me to gradually focus on my career again and get back to work.
I would ideally like someone who has good experience working with young children, is caring, patient, reliable and genuinely enjoys spending time with toddlers.
During the time together, I would love for the nanny/babysitter to:
* Play with my son and keep him engaged in age-appropriate activities
* Take him for walks and outdoor activities
* Read books and encourage communication and language development
* Do simple developmental games and activities
* Encourage his physical, social and cognitive development through play
* Help him learn new skills in a fun and natural way
* Sing songs, do nursery rhymes and creative activities
* Give him plenty of one-to-one attention and quality interaction
* Follow his routine and make sure he feels safe, happy and comfortable?
My Requirements
I am not simply looking for someone to supervise my son while he plays. I would really value someone who can actively engage with him, introduce developmental and educational games, encourage his curiosity and help him learn through play.
I want to start having a nanny for 3 hrs and then increase it to 3 full days until he is 2 years and ready for his preschool nursary.
If you feel you could be a good fit for our family, I would be very happy to hear from you.
