I am looking for an excellent, nurturing home-visit primary tutor for my 8-year-old son (Year 4).
We live in Appleby Magna.He is a very bright boy, but due to a recent school move, he missed a part of the Year 2 and Year 3 math curriculum. Because of these gaps, he has completely lost his confidence and currently says he hates maths.He is now at St Peter’s CE Primary Academy in Market Bosworth, which follows the White Rose / Power Maths Mastery framework.
What we are looking for:An experienced, primary-qualified educator (ideally with QTS) who understands Key Stage 2 pedagogy.A warm, highly encouraging personality who uses game-based learning and concrete resources to rebuild confidence before tackling heavy worksheets.Someone who can teach math calculation layouts that strictly align with his new school's calculation policy.A current, enhanced DBS certificate.If you have availability to visit our home in Appleby Magna for a weekend session—and think you are the right person to help a bright boy find his spark for math again—please get in touch with your rates and availability.
