About Me
Hello! My name is Louise and my partner Michael and I currently have a beautiful 5 month old baby Charlotte and two teenagers, Isabella who is 14 and Thomas who is 12. We have recently moved to Loose Road in Maidstone from Grove Green. I am headteacher of a special school in Medway and specialise in autism and due to go back to work after Christmas in January 2027. Michael is a project manager and largely works from home at the moment. We believe strongly in open ended play and strive to create a nurturing and empathy led home. I have always limited screen time for my eldest two who are now at Invicta and MGS and they still have boundaries around this. I also have always had very firm boundaries in place to help them feel secure without relying on punitive outcomes or shouting as measures but focusing instead on encouraging them to make the right choice and guiding them in what this looks like along with lots of focused praise and a reinforcement structure. We always have a lot of family time together and as a family we play a lot of board games together- our collection is quite epic at this point! Having a baby in the house again has been such a blessing and Charlotte is doted on by us as well as her older brother and sister!
My Requirements
I will need three days a week childcare for after Christmas (January 2027). My partner who works from home would be able to be more flexible with drop off and pick ups. We are looking for a childminder setting who will offer a loving and nurturing environment focused on helping Charlottes development in all areas. Our play at home is based on a lot of the Montessori method, encouraging independence, curiosity and skills as per her developmental stage. Charlotte loves going outside at the moment and calms when taken to the garden if upset. She is a healthy and alert baby who at the moment is entertaining us all with her smiles, babbling and rolling over skills!
