My Requirements

We are a young and warm family based in Maida Vale looking for a mother-tongue Italian nanny to join us and become a real part of our family life.

We have an 18-month-old who currently attends nursery until 1pm, and a newborn arriving soon mid October. We are looking for someone to be with us from 1pm–4:30pm every day -

The full-time arrangement begins mid-September, but we'd love to start sooner so our toddler can get to know you gradually — ideally a few hours here and there across weekdays and weekends between now and then.

? A note on our home: we live on the third floor with no lift. This is simply part of daily life with us, and we are looking for someone who sees fitness and health as genuine personal priorities, not just a practical requirement.

What we are looking for:

? Mother-tongue Italian speaker — this is essential, as we want our children to grow up bilingual

? Genuine experience with toddlers

? Exceptional reliability — we need someone who shows up, every day, and treats this role with real commitment. Absences should be genuine emergencies only

? A true love of children that comes through naturally in how you engage with them

? Willingness to help with light household tasks related to the children — tidying toys after play, helping prep and organise clothes for the week

? Flexibility to travel with us occasionally

? Fresh air every day: our little one goes to the park every single day, rain or shine. We believe outdoor time is non-negotiable whatever the weather, and we need a nanny who embraces this enthusiastically rather than finds reasons to stay in.

? No smartphones during working hours: we feel strongly that children deserve undivided attention, and this is non-negotiable for us. We cannot bear seeing nannies or parents scrolling while with children - we are looking for someone who shares this value wholeheartedly rather than sees it as a restriction.
