My Requirements

We are looking for someone to provide loving, responsive, and attentive care for our baby while I am at home and, later, when I return to work. Initially, I would like help for a few hours a week so I can catch up on household tasks, rest, or attend appointments. As I prepare to return to work, the hours will gradually increase.

We follow an attachment parenting approach and are looking for someone who shares or is happy to support this style of caregiving. This means responding sensitively to our baby’s needs, providing plenty of comfort, cuddles, and interaction, and following his cues for sleep, feeding, and play.

The role will mainly involve caring for our baby, including feeding, changing nappies, engaging in age-appropriate play, reading, soothing him to sleep, and taking him for walks. We are looking for someone who is experienced with young babies, kind, reliable, nurturing, and comfortable working while one or both parents are at home. The focus of the role is childcare only, with only light baby-related tidying, such as washing bottles and keeping his play area tidy.
