Hi, my name is Rob. I have been a child practitioner for the last 10 years working with my partner/wife who has been a childminder for over 25 years OFSTED OUTSTANDING. We live on the Woodfield Plantation, Doncaster. Rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted 4 times.. We have a spacious education, nursery early years which is used as a playroom and a fully enclosed back garden with a School Summer room - including astroturf - brilliant for all-year-round outdoor open play. Our setting, both indoors and outdoors is designed and equipped to accommodate children's different ages, stages of development and interests. Abundant wildlife and designated wildlife area for understanding local and world environment. SEND trained SENDCO. Our aim is for children to feel safe, secure and happy whilst in our setting. We provide a homely, caring environment where we encourage children to have fun whilst learning and developing. We make observations/written notes, take lots of photos which are placed in the child's personal development file (TAPESTRY JOURNAL), and regularly shared with parents/carers, to illustrate a child's progress, and are retained by parent/carer upon their child leaving my setting. We use also up to-date iPad learning games and exercises. These are specifically tailormade focusing on early years learning and also other task apps around Maths, Shapes, English (inc early-years spelling) coordination development, sorting and colours. We continue to look at new and innovative ideas that we can bring in to help guide early years development.
