About Me
Hi! My name is Danielle and I'm looking for someone special to become a regular part of our family.
We have two lovely boys — our eldest has just turned three and starts preschool in September, and our youngest is a newborn who arrived in June. Like many families with two young children, life has become wonderfully busy!
My husband, Lee, works away quite a lot, particularly on Wednesdays and Thursdays between August and May, so I'm looking for someone who can be an extra pair of hands and make those busy days a little easier.
We're hoping to find someone warm, kind, reliable and proactive who genuinely enjoys being around children. I'd love someone who can build a lovely relationship with our toddler and become a familiar, trusted person for both boys, while also being happy to help wherever they're needed on the day.
I'm usually at home, so this isn't a role where you'll be left to manage everything alone. Instead, I'm looking for someone who enjoys working alongside a parent and becoming an extra pair of hands — whether that's entertaining our eldest while I settle the baby, helping with the evening routine, or simply taking one thing off my plate when the day gets hectic.
Above all, we're hoping to find someone kind, trustworthy and dependable who we'd genuinely enjoy having around the family. We'd love to build a long-term relationship with the right person and find someone who becomes a familiar and trusted part of the boys' lives.
My Requirements
We're looking for a warm, experienced and reliable nanny, mother's helper or babysitter to become a regular part of our family.
The role will mainly be on Wednesdays and Thursdays, usually from around 2pm until 8pm, although we are slightly flexible on the start time. We don't require someone to be available every Wednesday and Thursday, and completely understand that you may have other work or commitments alongside this. We can agree the dates well in advance and are happy to guarantee the hours we book. The most important thing for us is finding someone reliable and dependable who we can get to know and trust. There will be a regular number of dates available between now and May, with additional ad-hoc hours potentially available by mutual agreement.
One parent will usually be at home during these hours, so we're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and becoming an extra pair of hands during the busiest part of the day.
The role will include:
- Helping with preschool collection when required.
- Planning fun, engaging activities and spending quality one-to-one time with our eldest.
- Supporting with the evening routine, including tea time, bath time and bedtime.
- Caring for our newborn when needed, allowing me to spend one-to-one time with our eldest, or vice versa.
- Helping the household run smoothly with light family-related tasks, such as laundry, tidying toys, loading or unloading the dishwasher, preparing a simple family meal, and generally helping us stay on top of the children's needs.
We're looking for someone who is kind, proactive and happy to adapt to the needs of the day. Some days you'll be entertaining our toddler while I care for the baby, and on other days you may be cuddling or settling the baby while I spend some special time with our eldest.
We'd love to find someone who is looking to build a long-term relationship with our family and become a trusted part of our children's lives.
