About Me

Hi we are Mel and Jas. Mel was a previous childminder in Darwen and following an 8 year break will be returning alongside daughter Jasmine. We are an OFSTED registered setting in the Whitehall area of Darwen, offering childminding services for children ages 0-5 years.

My Experience

Mel was previously well known childminder in Darwen for 12 years, she has since been working in a nursery for over 4 years. Mel has 5 grandchildren who she loves spending her time off with so has lots of experience from birth upwards including a previous mindee from 3 months old.

My Qualifications

Melanie holds a BA Honours in Childcare Studies with previous 12 years experience as a childminder and further 4 years+ in a nursery
Jasmine is a Level 3 early years educator and qualified Children's nurse.
We are both first aid trained and hold the relevant safeguarding qualifications also.

My Availability

Currently we have no availability until January 2027 when Jasmine will be starting, she is currently on maternity leave until then.

My Fees

  • Childminding from £5.00 per hour

We currently charge £50 per day, we also accept government funding for ages 9 month, 2, 3 & 4 year olds.
