Georgia
Babysitter in Newcastle Upon Tyne
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Georgia. I’m 25 and moving to Newcastle to begin studying Law at Northumbria University. I’m calm, friendly, responsible and dependable, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for their children.
I aim to create a safe and relaxed environment while respecting each family’s routines, rules and parenting choices. I’m happy to keep children entertained through reading, games, creative activities and conversation, as well as helping with meals, bedtime routines and light tidying related to the children.
I value clear communication, agreed expectations and a mutually respectful working relationship. I am comfortable around pets and am particularly experienced with cats. I’m primarily looking for flexible evening and weekend babysitting that I can balance alongside university.
My Experience
I have professional experience working with babies, children and young people across nursery, school and specialist SEND settings.
I spent four months working in a nursery, where I gained practical experience caring for babies and young children. I have also worked in different schools over approximately four months, supporting children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 16.
Most significantly, I worked for nearly four years as a Therapy Assistant in a specialist SEND college with students aged 16 to 25. This developed my ability to communicate clearly, adapt to individual needs, maintain appropriate professional boundaries and remain calm, patient and dependable in a wide range of situations.
Through these roles, I have developed a strong understanding of safeguarding, routines, individual support needs and the importance of treating every child and young person with dignity and respect. I am confident following parents’ instructions concerning meals, allergies, medication, personal care, screen time, activities, bedtime and household rules.
Before accepting a booking, I like to discuss the child’s needs, the responsibilities involved and the family’s expectations so that everyone feels comfortable, informed and prepared.
My Qualifications
• Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care — Triple Distinction (DDD)
• Level 3 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Skills
• Level 1 Certificate in Makaton
• Advanced Drawing and Talking Certificate
These qualifications have strengthened my knowledge of safeguarding, child development, communication, emotional wellbeing and person-centred support. My Makaton training allows me to support children with additional communication needs, while my counselling skills and Drawing and Talking training help me respond calmly, sensitively and appropriately to children’s emotions.
Combined with my professional experience across nursery, school and specialist SEND settings, my training enables me to adapt my approach to each child’s individual age, personality, communication style and support needs.

I’m available anytime during the day until I start my degree in late September.
