About Me
I am a caring, enthusiastic 22-year-old with a lot of energy! I am outdoorsy, musical and love to cook and bake. In childcare, I lead with compassion, and I love creating activities for children that let them have fun by being their most creative selves. Through my experience working in 2 nurseries, I have particularly enjoyed creating animal treasure hunts, singing and playing guitar, and generally supporting their development through creating an empathetic and safe space. I have hands-on experience caring for babies and toddlers, including nappy changing, feeding, sleep routines and settling children to sleep. As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, I provided individual literacy support, including helping two Ukrainian pupils who were new to English develop their language and reading skills. Overall, I am committed to creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued.
My Experience
I have 1.5 years of nursery experience. I have worked in two nurseries and have supported the care and development of children aged 6 months – 4 years. I have also worked in primary schools and was a teaching assistant for a Year 6 class while a teacher was on sick leave for 2 months. I have also recently completed an 'All About Music' assembly project for a primary school in Bristol, in which I created and delivered a series of assemblies, with the hopes to immerse and inspire children with lots of different types of music.
My Qualifications
I have recently graduated from Bristol University with a Music BA (First Class Honours).
My Availability
I am available all days/evenings of the week.
