My Summary

My Experience

I started working as a gymnastics coach at 14 years old and worked with children across a wide range of ages. I particularly enjoyed coaching the preschool class and working with younger children. I stopped coaching when the Covid Pandemic hit but I thoroughly enjoyed the two years that I worked there and learnt a lot about keeping multiple children engaged and safe at the same time.

I have also been babysitting on a fairly regular basis for over five years. This has involved daytime, after-school and evening care. I’m not only comfortable playing with anything from dolls to lego, doing colouring, puzzles, park trips and reading but I’m also happy doing school pick-ups, helping with homework, preparing dinner, and managing the bath and bedtime routine consistently. I have even been to watch a school performance for one of the little girls I babysat regularly when her mum unfortunately couldn’t make it.

I have received lovely feedback from the families I babysit for saying that the children feel safe and happy in my care and look forward to seeing me.

My Qualifications

Whilst I have no formal childcare qualifications, I have recently graduated from my law degree with first class honours which I hope demonstrates my dedicated and hardworking nature. I approach all opportunities with the same enthusiasm and care and truly strive to provide excellent care to all children I have the privilege of looking after.

My nurturing and enthusiastic personality alongside my experience working with children make me naturally suited to the role. I am always looking for ways to develop my knowledge and skills further so I have recently been undertaking some free online courses on child development, wellbeing and psychology as these are topics of interest to me.

I have previously completed some informal baby and child first aid training online, and I am planning to undertake a certified paediatric first aid course before the end of the year to ensure I am fully equipped with all the knowledge to keep your little ones safe. I have a clear DBS from 2022 and would be happy to arrange an updated one. I am in the process of learning to drive and in the meantime I can arrange my own transport.

I am a very keen and quick learner so if there are any gaps in my experience or knowledge, I will always strive to fill them.

My Availability

I am available for a part-time or full-time role and would be happy to discuss hours with the family to work in whatever way was best for them. I am also available for ad hoc evening and weekend cover / babysitting.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
