About Me

Hello, I’m a qualified Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse with extensive professional experience caring for children from newborns through to older children.

Alongside my professional nursing experience, I also have extensive personal experience supporting children with neurodivergence and learning disabilities. This has given me a particularly good understanding of the importance of patience, empathy, consistency and adapting care to each individual child’s needs.

I am a calm, caring and responsible person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. My nursing background means that safeguarding, wellbeing and safety are always at the heart of my childcare, while I also understand that children need to have fun, feel comfortable and be themselves.

I appreciate that leaving your child with someone new can feel daunting. My aim is to give parents peace of mind while ensuring their children feel safe, happy, listened to and cared for.

My Approach

Every child is different, and I believe childcare should be adapted around the individual child rather than expecting every child to fit the same routine.

I am particularly comfortable supporting children who may need extra patience, reassurance, structure or understanding. I take time to get to know each child’s personality, interests, communication style and routines and will always work in partnership with parents.

I am happy to follow parents’ established routines and preferences and understand the importance of consistency for children, particularly those with additional needs or who may find changes in routine difficult.

Whether you need an occasional babysitter, regular childcare, evening or weekend support, or someone who is particularly confident caring for a child with additional needs, I would be very happy to discuss your family’s requirements.
