Full Time Nanny Job in London
About Me
We are a Japanese family living in St John’s Wood with our 5-year-old son.
We are looking for a kind, reliable and experienced nanny to look after him for four full days, from Tuesday 1 September to Friday 4 September 2026, as his primary school does not start until 7 September and both parents will be working.
He is an active and curious 5-year-old who enjoys playing, going to parks and exploring new things. We would ideally like someone who can spend the day with him at home and take him out locally for activities, for example to Regent’s Park, playgrounds or the library.
A Japanese-speaking nanny would be strongly preferred, as this would help him feel more comfortable, although we are open to suitable candidates who do not speak Japanese.
We would prefer the same nanny for all four days and would particularly value someone with experience caring for children of his age, an Enhanced DBS check, paediatric first-aid training and good references.
We are based in St John’s Wood and are looking for daytime childcare during normal working hours.
My Requirements
We are looking for a temporary live-out nanny for our 5-year-old son for four full days, from Tuesday 1 September to Friday 4 September 2026.
We would ideally need childcare from approximately 9:00am to 6:30pm at our home in St John’s Wood.
We would strongly prefer a Japanese-speaking nanny, as our son is most comfortable communicating in Japanese. We would also prefer the same nanny for all four days.
The role would involve spending time with him at home and taking him to local parks, playgrounds, the library or other age-appropriate activities.
We are particularly looking for someone with:
* experience caring for children around 5 years old
* an Enhanced DBS check
* paediatric first-aid training
* good references
This is a short-term requirement only, as his primary school starts on 7 September.
