Samia
Nanny in South Croydon
My Summary
About Me
Hello I'm Samia! After nearly 5 wonderful years caring for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in a top local nursery, I am excited to transition into nannying. Seeing children happy and thriving brings me genuine joy! I hold my Level 2 Early Years qualification and a First Aid certificate. I recently graduated with a degree in Fine Art, and I love using my background to plan messy play, crafts, and creative games. I am looking for a lovely family where I can dedicate 100% of my attention to your children's happiness and development.
My Experience
Hello!
I'm Samia, a warm, reliable and creative nursery assistant with experience caring for children from babies through to primary school age. Working in a nursery has given me a strong understanding of children's development, while also teaching me how to build trusting relationships with children and their families. I'm now looking to bring those skills into a nanny role, where I can provide more individualised care and become a consistent, positive presence in a child's life.
In my current role, I support children's learning and development through play, plan engaging activities, encourage independence and help create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued. Every day involves balancing different routines, communicating with parents, working as part of a team and adapting to each child's unique personality and needs. These are all skills that I believe translate naturally into working as a nanny.
I enjoy spending time with children of all ages. With babies and toddlers, I love sensory play, story time, messy play and supporting important developmental milestones. With older children, I enjoy arts and crafts, baking, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, homework support and encouraging their hobbies and interests. My background in Fine Art means I naturally bring creativity into activities, whether that's painting, making things together or finding fun ways to encourage curiosity and imagination.
Families describe me as patient, calm and dependable. I understand that every family has its own routines and parenting style, and I pride myself on being adaptable, respectful and someone parents can genuinely rely on. I'm equally happy helping with school runs, preparing simple meals, supporting bedtime routines, organising activities or simply being another trusted adult who listens and encourages children to feel confident and secure.
