Dear host family,

My name is Chloe, I am 21 years old and have immigrated from South Africa to the UK a year ago. I am looking to be a nanny in London. I have experience working with children of various ages and I am very confident in my ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children under my care

In 2023, I worked part-time as a babysitter for a wonderful family with three children, aged 2, 4, and 7. My responsibilities included engaging the children in play, reading with them, and ensuring we always tidied up afterwards. I made a point of encouraging the children to participate in cleaning up, fostering a sense of responsibility and cooperation. I was also responsible for feeding, bathing, and putting them to bed.

From 2024 to 2025, I worked as an au pair for a family in the Netherlands, where I cared for a four year old boy. My duties included preparing him for school, collecting him in the afternoon, cooking meals, bathing him, and putting him to bed. I also planned creative and fun activities for us.This role significantly developed my ability to communicate with young children, especially in overcoming language barriers, as the child only spoke Dutch. We lived at the harbor so swimming was an essential part of my job as the boy wasn't able to swim. I lived in the house with my host family where I also did house chores such as cleaning, tidying, folding laundry, cooking and grocery shopping when needed.

From 2025 till 2026 I have been working as a full time nanny for a family in the uk with 3 kids, aged 5,2 and 5 months. My duties include planning and taking the children out for the day, housekeeping, picking the children up from school and nursery, looking after the baby during the day and occasionally bathing and putting the children to bed. I am looking to move closer to London to be closer to my friends and to be able to study part time as I am working full time at the moment.

I believe I would be an excellent candidate for this role due to my genuine passion for working with children. I am a creative individual who enjoys incorporating arts and crafts into daily activities and take pride in finding new, exciting, and educational ways to engage children. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time exploring or playing outside with the children. My experience with young children has given me the confidence and capability to manage a variety of situations with care and patience.
