My Summary

My Experience

I am currently studying Midwifery at university, which has given me valuable hands-on experience caring for mothers and babies in a clinical setting.

Throughout my training and placements, I have gained experience with newborn babies, postnatal mothers and families, developing an understanding of newborn care, feeding, nappy changing, settling babies and recognising their individual needs.

My midwifery training has also helped me develop strong communication, patience, responsibility and safeguarding awareness, as well as the ability to remain calm and reassuring in different situations.

I have experience working alongside healthcare professionals and families, so I understand the importance of being trustworthy, respectful and professional when caring for someone’s baby or children.

Alongside newborn care, I am also comfortable caring for older babies and children and can provide general babysitting and practical household support.

My aim is to use the skills and experience I am gaining through my midwifery degree to provide families with a safe, caring and reliable extra pair of hands at home.

My Qualifications

I have a strong background in healthcare, childcare and working with children, alongside my current university studies.

My Health & Social Care qualification gave me a strong foundation in understanding children’s development, wellbeing, safeguarding and person-centred care. My nursery and school placements also gave me valuable experience interacting with children of different ages and supporting them in a safe and caring environment.

Studying Midwifery has further developed my knowledge and confidence around pregnancy, newborn care, postnatal support and maternal wellbeing.

I’m passionate about combining my education and practical experience to provide families with reliable, caring and trustworthy childcare and newborn support.

My Availability

I offer flexible childcare and newborn support, including:

Overnight shifts
Evening babysitting
Early morning support
Newborn care and mother’s helper services
Occasional babysitting for older children

As I am currently studying Midwifery at university and completing clinical placements, my availability can vary from week to week. Because of this, I would ideally require at least 1 week’s notice for bookings so I can work around my university and placement schedule.

I’m happy to discuss your requirements in advance and arrange a time that works for both of us. I can also be flexible where possible, particularly for regular families who would like to arrange bookings ahead of time. ?

My Fees

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
• Maternity Nursing from £16.00 per hour (gross)

Newborn care (0–12 months): £13–£15/hour
Older children: £11–£13/hour
Newborn + mother support/household help: £14–£16/hour
Two children: £15–£18/hour
Evening/night newborn support: around £16–£20/hour, depending on whether you’re expected to stay awake and actively care for baby.
