About Me
Hi, I’m Laura — a fun, creative, and caring childminder and mum, who loves helping children learn through play. My setting is relaxed, welcoming, and full of opportunities for children to explore, imagine, and express themselves.
Whether we’re baking, crafting, reading stories, or heading outdoors for adventures, I make sure every child feels included, supported, and encouraged. I value kindness, curiosity, and confidence, and I help children build these qualities through positive interactions and playful learning.
I work closely with families to understand each child’s personality and routines, and I’m committed to creating a space where children feel happy, secure, and excited to come each day.
My Experience
I began my childcare career in 2021 when I completed my apprenticeship in a nursery, gaining hands?on experience supporting children’s learning, development, and daily routines. Working in a busy early years environment gave me a strong foundation in the EYFS, safeguarding, and creating engaging activities that help children thrive.
Since then, I’ve worked with local childminders, where I learned how to provide high?quality care in a home?from?home setting. This experience helped me understand the importance of building close relationships with families, creating calm and nurturing spaces, and supporting children as individuals.
Now, I’m excited to open my own home for childminding for the first time. I bring together everything I’ve learned — from structured nursery practice to the warm, personalised approach of home?based care — to create a safe, welcoming environment where children can grow confidently and happily.
