Welcome to Our Village Childminding!
Hi, I’m Emily, an Ofsted-registered childminder based in South Darenth, Dartford, providing care for children aged 0-4 years.
When I became a mum at the beginning of 2025, I finally understood the weight of the saying ‘it takes a village’. I quickly realised how valuable it is to have a trusted, supportive village around you, and that not every family has one. From that idea, Our Village was born!
Our Village is a warm, nurturing and inclusive home-from-home where children feel safe, secure and valued. It is a place where they can belong, explore, learn and play, building confidence and independence through meaningful everyday experiences.
My aim is to work closely with families to become a trusted part of their village, providing reassurance that their little one is being cared for in a loving and stimulating environment.

My Experience
I have previous experience as an assistant at a local children’s arts and crafts club, working with a range of ages and abilities.
I am a mum to an 18 month old so have first-hand experience of caring for a young child and supporting development through the early years.
