About Me

I’m a registered paediatric nurse with around 20 years’ experience caring for babies, children and young people and supporting their families. I currently work in paediatric care and am looking to offer occasional overnight childcare alongside my nursing role.

I’m calm, caring and very comfortable caring for children of different ages, including those with additional or complex needs. I have an enhanced DBS, regular resuscitation training and professional insurance.

I’m particularly interested in overnight care, whether that’s supporting parents with a baby or providing safe, reassuring care for older children while parents work nights or need overnight support.

My Experience

I have around 20 years’ experience working as a paediatric nurse, caring for babies, children and young people with a wide range of needs.

My experience includes supporting families with feeding, personal care, medication, sleep and settling, recognising when a child may be becoming unwell, safeguarding and emergency situations. I also have experience caring for children with additional and complex needs.

I complete regular resuscitation training through my nursing role and have an enhanced DBS and professional insurance.

Although I am new to working privately as a maternity nurse/night nanny, I have extensive professional experience caring for children and supporting families, and I would bring a calm, caring and reassuring approach to overnight care.

My Qualifications

I am a registered paediatric nurse with around 20 years’ experience working with babies, children and young people.

I hold a current enhanced DBS and complete regular paediatric resuscitation and emergency training through my nursing role. I also have ongoing safeguarding training and professional indemnity cover through the RCN.

I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and maintain all mandatory professional training required for my role.

My Availability

My availability varies depending on my nursing rota, but I am mainly looking for occasional overnight work and may be able to offer around one night per week.

I am happy to discuss individual dates and requirements in advance, and I may occasionally have availability for additional nights depending on my work and family commitments.

I am particularly interested in overnight care, but may also be available for some evening or daytime childcare by arrangement.

My Fees

  • Maternity Nursing from £20.00 per hour (gross)

My fees will depend on the hours required, the age and needs of the child, and whether the care is overnight or during the day.

For overnight care I would generally be looking for around £20 per hour, but I am happy to discuss individual requirements and agree a suitable rate with each family.
