My Requirements

We are looking for a kind, reliable and confident person to help with our two daughters, aged 12 and 9, during school term time.

Mum works at a local school on a rotating shift pattern and we need regular childcare to cover all of the late shifts. The dates are known well in advance each term, so although the days vary from week to week, the role is planned and predictable. Mon/Wed/Fri then Tue/Thur the next week and vica versa.

Hours: Approximately 4.15pm–10.15pm on late-shift days during term time
Location: Cranleigh area
Start: September

The role would include:

* School pick-up when required
* Bringing the girls home and preparing dinner
* Helping with the normal after-school/evening routine
* Being at home with them until Mum return from work at approximately 10.15pm
* Some light tidying associated with the children/dinner

When available Dad will do pickup and also be at the house during these evenings, but we would still like the childcare arrangement to remain in place consistently so that the role and hours are reliable if both parents are working.

Our youngest will also be boarding at school on some evenings, so occasionally there may only be one child at home.

We’re really looking for someone warm, sensible and dependable who can become a familiar and consistent person for the girls. Previous childcare experience is important, and you would need to be comfortable looking after older children rather than babies/toddlers.

A driver is essential for school pick-ups.
