Hi local parents! I’m Sammy Pooni.
I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher, Early Years specialist and a mum (to a 3yr old and a 1yr old) preparing to open a premium, education-led childminding setting in CV2. This will be Ofsted registered before opening. Currently, I am creating a waiting list ready for those interested to join in May 2027.
My mission is to bridge the gap between the nurturing warmth of home, childcare and the high academic standards of a school nursery.

Expert Qualifications: I hold a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning, and Development combined with a Level 6 BA Degree in Primary Teaching with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This rare combination allows me to blend expert, specialist physical care with advanced early years curriculum design.
Elite Teaching Experience: My background includes serving as an EYFS Lead Teacher in a selective Grammar School, a Teacher of Prep, and a Residential Tutor.
A Dedicated Partner for Parents: With my background as a qualified Higher Education Coach, I love mentoring and supporting families. No parenting question is too big or too small! While I am always here to guide your child's home learning journey, I always advocate for parents to trust their instincts and seek specialist professional or medical advice whenever needed.

I will offer an exceptional level of individual attention. My home is tailored to early years, so visits are highly encouraged, you need to see the space!
The floor space has more than what is required to be aligned with official guidelines, guaranteeing a safe, spacious, and uncrowded environment for your little ones to explore.
My setting is designed to be fully accessible through government financial schemes once my Ofsted registration is finalized: Until then I am accepting those that want to join my wait list and once my registration is finalised, we can sign contracts to secure your spot.
Funded Hours: Once all formalities are completed, I shall be registered to accept Local Authority funded childcare hours for eligible parents (15 hours and 30 hours) and the Tax-Free childcare account.

Once my registration is finalised, you will be contacted to sign contracts, but if your situation has changed, thats also fine. Being on the waiting list, just gives you a head start at securing a spot for your child.

My Experience
Premature Baby Care Expertise: Deep personal and professional knowledge of caring for premature infants. I am highly experienced in handling adjusted developmental milestones, tracking early medical/health needs, and supporting the unique transitions of early-born babies into childcare.
SEND Expertise & Well-being: I possess extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I have also served as a Volunteer Pastoral Listener, ensuring emotional well-being and holistic care are at the heart of my practice.

My Fees
- Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)
Once all the paperwork is completed, I will be able to accepted funded hours and the tax free childcare account.
