My Experience

I have several years of experience caring for children. As the oldest of nine children, I have gained extensive experience with babysitting, helping with homework and education, keeping children entertained and helping around the home. I have also worked as an au pair across Europe on four occasions. During a year abroad, I worked in both a primary and secondary school, teaching children while also working as an au pair. In Scotland, I have worked as a music tutor for three years, which has further developed my ability to communicate with and encourage children of different ages. These experiences have made me confident, patient, adaptable and responsible when caring for children.

My Qualifications

I am currently studying Spanish and Music at the University of Glasgow and will be returning for my fourth year. I have gained valuable practical experience working with children through my four au pair placements across Europe, as well as working in both primary and secondary schools during my year abroad. I have also worked as a music tutor in Scotland for three years, developing strong communication, teaching and organisational skills. My experience has given me confidence in caring for, supporting and engaging with children of different ages.

My Availability

I am currently returning to university for my fourth year, so my availability will depend on my university timetable. I am happy to discuss regular or occasional babysitting and can be flexible where possible. I am available to work evenings during the week and days over the weekends. I would be happy to discuss specific dates and requirements with parents in advance.
