My Summary

My Experience

I have a bachelors degree with a triple major in Politics, Psychology, and Microbiology. This means I am able to teach multiple subjects, and I approach learning from a multi-faceted and interdisciplinary perspective. Additionally to my formal studies, I have lab experience in chemistry/biology and cognitive science. The work I did in cognitive science was focused on STEM learning and education generally, so I have studied the best ways for students to learn material, remember it, and apply it to more complex problems. I was a peer advisor during undergrad, so I can help manage student’s schedules and their academic future directions. My tutoring experience so far is quite informal, with me tutoring friends and my two younger brothers. From personal and family experience I can work with students who are neuroatypical. My Qualifications

My main qualifications are my degrees and lab experience, including presenting a poster of my personal education research at a global educational conference. I am willing to show my transcripts and degree is needed. I have yet to do a DBS check, but will do one as soon as possible.

My Availability

I am available over the weekends and during the evenings. My availability will become more clear once the school year begins, and I will be in Edinburgh starting from the 14th of September. I am able to work with students at their homes, libraries, or even out in public at cafes or the park. I find that some students learn better in different environments and am willing to accommodate them. I do not work at my own home, but can do virtual sessions.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £15.00 per hour

Fees are negotiable, with a starting rate of £15 an hour up to £22 depending on the subject matter, specific student situation, combined babysitting and tutoring, and how long I need to travel.
