My Summary

My Experience

I volunteered at Northwick Park hospital for a little while in the Paediatric emergency department where my role as a ‘Youth buddy’ was to be a young person’s ‘friend’ for the day during their difficult time in the hospital. I would speak to them or if they were younger I would play with them.

I now work at a secondary school as a teaching assistant, providing in class support as well as 1:1 support on their emotional wellbeing and academic progress, as well as supporting them in developing great life skills. I have a lot of mentoring experience as well as providing targeted interventions to boost the young person’s knowledge on a subject if they struggle to keep up in the mainstream class.

My Qualifications

Grade 6 in GCSE Maths
Grade 6 in GCSE English

Grade B in A level English literature
Grade C in A level Sociology

2:2 in Bsc Psychology

Completed a foundation course in Counselling and Psychotherapy

My Availability

I am available mainly during after school hours starting from 17:30. I am open to weekends as well.
